
Clemencia professional and research interest is focused on the Design, Development and Diagnosis of Systems Organizational Management. The Systems Approach has allowed her to develop Methodologies to observe the Organizational Reality, Objectives, Processes, People and Understanding the connectivity and interactions between them and with the environment. The foregoing has allowed her to develop the theory from practice. Using action-research models within this vision allows us to understand the different ways in which organizations emerge from business, corporate and social aspects.
As an Organizational Systems Consultant, she has been a Coordinator, Designer and Facilitator through participatory systems methods that lead Innovation, Entrepreneurship, Project Development, Management Strategy, Indicators, Systems Approach Methodologies, Organizational Architecture Models, Organizational Structures, Information Systems and Research Methodologies. She has been a consultant in Colombia, Mexico, Venezuela, Ecuador, Peru, and Bolivia. She has worked in social, health, education, environmental protection, guilds, mining, construction, computing and telecommunications sectors. Likewise, in furniture, wood, clothing, brewery and flower manufacturing companies, among others. She has been a Consultant for the IDB and the World Bank.
She has held Management Positions in Innovation, Entrepreneurship, Project Development, Strategy, Evaluation and Control in companies such as “Colciencias”, “Carbocol S.A”, “Bavaria S.A”, “Instituto Ser de Investigación”, “Ministerio de Salud”, “Consultores Industriales S.A”, and Consumer S.A.
During her professional life she has been an Organizational Teacher and a Researcher, developing workshops and seminars in undergraduate, graduate and senior management face to face and virtual courses in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration and Industrial Design in Monterrey-Mexico at the Institute of Technology in Monterrey. In Lima-Peru: “Universidad Católica”, “Universidad Ricardo Palma” and “Instituto Andino de Sistemas”; in Colombia, Bogotá: “ Universidad de los Andes”, “Universidad Javeriana”, “Uniminuto”, “Universidad Jorge Tadeo Lozano”; and Medellín: “EAFIT” Her courses have been characterized by facilitating participants to create their own case studies, learning to design or diagnose their own organizations. Several of these experiences are found in her books: -«Evalúe la Gestión de la Empresa, más allá de la estrategía y los Indicadores» with a lot of participants, -«El Emprendedor de Organizaciones Innovadoras”, with methodology that has helped to develop several organizations as of to date. And coming soon – “Estructuras Organizacionales: Un Camino Sistémico” book that has been the result of her work as a consultant, and her research and her knowledge about the topic.
She has been invited to several national and international conferences and she is an Author of several national and international publications.
